Lafiore turquoise blue sand 'Scavo' Patina/Frosted textured glass jug/pitcher or vase, roman/ancient glass style sand crystal glass

La-Fiore was hand made in S’esgleieta in Mallorca.

These decretive glass items are made to resemble ancient/roman glass in the 1970s/1980's. The Italian glass artist Seguso Vetri d'Arte made some famous 'Scavo' Murano Glass pieces with the effect also.

Scavo glass technique - (Italian, “excavation”) A technique involving the application, to the surface of an object, of substances that, when heated to about 1470°F (800°C), fuse and create an effect similar to weathering, thereby imitating glass from an archaeological excavation

The glass is quite rough to the touch on the outside and smooth on the inside.

Hand made and so no two pieces are alike No chips, cracks or repairs.

31cm high and 11.5 at the widest point.
